After a 7 month wait since ordering my AG-10 f3.8 it arrived Friday last week.
The pictures speak for themself. Its a work of art. The machining and engineering are gorgeous. Anyway enough adjectives.
Being my first ever newtonian I was very nervous about how hard this would be to collimate. After lots of reading and taking my time over a few nights I got my head around it pretty quickly.
The catseye tools (Telecat XLS and Infinity XLK) combined with the new Radiation Hotspot made the job very simple and quick. There is a great video
here showing how easy it is.
I had some trouble at first as I did not have the Infinity XLK elevated to the image plane. Once this was sorted it was a breeze.
Now that thats sorted I need to install the Mount Hub Pro to run dew heaters, fans etc...
Will then install and see if the weather ever clears in Melbourne.
Will keep you posted.
