Great to see you all. This is such a great site. I keep discovering new things (like unanswered personal messages 3 weeks old, oops).
Here's me in my astroshed with the latest equipment.

OK, I have resisted this, but as I read earlier in this forums existance, "Resistance is Futile".
During the course of the astro photo weekend this was snapped, mainly to scare young children, hence the daggers look. Nice mount but.

and here's a Piccie of me, with one of my babies... the 10" Meade LX200..
yes... that is ski gear i have on, as it gets down to 0C where we observe from with the WAAC'ers.

and also attached a photo of my little baby... "backup" scope.. a 5" G5 Celestron. This one is great for observing the moon with, and is so light and easy to carry...

hehehe... well I can't lift the 10" onto the tripod... its soooo heavy!!!

The 5" was my first 'serious' scope. I bought this second hand... found it in the trading post. I don't want to sell it because it is so easy for me to move and carry... where as the 10" I need to steal the other halfs car just to drive it to observe nights!

FourTrax Romp!

Me and the little one going for a romp through the sheep pasture!

Before I get yelled at:
  1. Neither of us have a helmet on because we are only driving 10MPH
  2. Its not muddy because that shot was taken about 10 minutes after unloading it from my truck after bringing it home from the dealership
It has since been very well christened in mud
Good thing my daughter gets her looks from her mother!!!

The 4Trax version that is sold in the Southern US has beer holders built into the handlebars. They size it to hold a Budweiser tallboy, but a 10mm Pentax XW will fit nicely.

If I was a weakly girly-man like you, I'd buy a trailer for it so I could haul my scope around behind it too.

Cheers!
