Sky mapping program

hi,
i was just wondering if any of you know of a good, free, starmap program. i had the Stella 2000 trial, but that has just expired. stella has helped me so much in my stargazing, it showed the positions of the stars, sun, comets, NGC objects, Messiers and planets in the sky.
i'm annoyed that the trial has run out, and need a new program now.
any recomendations of other software would be greatly appreciated

I have found Sky View Cafe to be a good start for me - I've been able to do a lot of things I needed as a newbie using it.
