Asi air plus guiding

Hi all. Using the ASI Air plus and noticed that the guide graph shows stopped. This hasn't changed in any shoot I've done so far. Am I missing a setting? I seem to get decent tracking even though the graph doesn't change.

Any help appreciated

More info would be more helpful, why was it stopped? Is it looping? is the connection to the camera/mount stable?

That's the thing. I genuinely don't know ow if it's normal or not. I've never seen the graph move in any shoot I have done. That's why I asked here I suppose. I have no idea what the expectation of the graph is.

Have you restarted the ASIair? Like all computerised things they can get all tied up.
You'll need to click on the graph to get more details (such as whether it's looping) as in the main screen you just get that ... the graph.

The graph should show a red and blue line giving you an indication of what changes it's making to the mount and giving you an overall correction. From that you can figure out how long you can run exposures.

Your screen shot indicates you are not guiding hence no guiding graph. Tap on the graph, tap on target icon to start guide camera looping, focus your guide camera, run the guide calibration, then commence guiding. That should get you started, and if the graph shows poor guiding then you need to go back and adjust settings or PA etc.

Tried your suggestion and you were on the money.

Ran a plan through the app. RA was tracking very well. Dec was all over the place. Really bad. Was unable to set 1 minute exposures without blurring. Some work to be done in prep I guess

if dec was all over the place it indicates the scope is out of balance on the dec axis, make sure your dec is balanced
