Sunday Sun 26 May Ha Hb CaH

Hi

Attached are some images of the Sun taken this morning through an ED 100mm f/9 telescope + spectroheliograph + ASI 183MM Pro Camera at Ha, Hb and CaH wavelengths.

Frames reconstructed using Doug Smith's SHG Main software.
Best frames selected and stacked with AutoStakkert 3! then deconvolved using AstroSurface. Frames reduced in size and heavily compressed to fit here..

Wavelength plots compared to reference standards for dispersion evaluation.

cheers
Maurice

Great set of images Maurice. It is amazing how far Solar imaging has come in the last 10 years.Keep them up as we approach Solar maximum next year.I particularly like the CaH images they have a lot more depth than the CaK images using a wedge.
Cheers Derek

Thanks Derek. The SHG certainly has its limitations, but spectral resolution generally isn't one of them. I am looking forward to Solar maximum...
