Last night's effort, Aliacensis & Werner. Setup; Meade 12" LX200GPS on EQ Wedge, ZWO ASI224MC, Baader Q-Barlow giving an effective F/Ration of F18, Bintel IR Filter. Capture with SharpCap 4.11, processed with AutoStakket, Registax and tweaked in Gimp.
The main focus was on focusing technique, excuse the pun. Being short sighted can have it draw backs and at my age only need glasses for looking at distance objects not for close up work.
For focusing I found if I reduced the image from Auto Zoom down to say 40-45% using SharpCap Zoom function I could get a better feel for how sharp the focus is, in regard to fine detail, plus no glasses required.
P.S Post processing is getting better.
Cheers

Another great shot with a very high level of detail! Well done!
I’ve been out the last 2 nights attempting some lunar imaging but the conditions are so poor up here the results have been nothing short of embarrassing
A great image, Anthony. I like the comparison between two similar sized craters and their relative ages. Shows what a billion years of space weathering can do to a crater.
