I was wondering what are the best filters for different shooting situations.
I want to shoot galaxies and have read that like the Optolong L-Pro is the way to go and if I want to shoot nebula that the L-eNhance or eXtreme is the way to go.
Also are there other good options to the Optolong ones I have been recommended? It's rather confusing.
I need a 2 inch filter if that helps for my ASI2600MC and WO Z73 scope.
There are a few good choices in relation to filters, but budget often makes the decision. I was always partial to Baader narrowband filters.
For true narrowband imaging, in my opinion, a mono camera is a must have device. The nature of colour camera Bayer matrix construction will reduce the ability to capture the fairly rare photon emissions in narrowband spectra areas.
For simple light pollution filtration, there are many filter in that space, but the choice may come down to what type of sky glow your dealing with. LED street lights will require a different solution then the sodium vapour lights used widely in places like Brisbane.
