Good luck Chris!
It's clearing up around here this arvo, so we'll see...it's been a while since we had a clear night around new Moon.

I'm not *that* hopeful for the night, just a few hours.
I think I might have a working spacer setup from the flattener to the camera, all at M68, which is nice. If it's out, it's only going to be a mm or 2, I think. Assuming the distances are correct ( https://www.teleskop-express.de/shop...bis-f-9.html):
Code:
♦ Focal length up to 500 mm ... 106 mm
♦ Focal length 510-600 mm ... 101 mm
♦ Focal length 610-700 mm ... 96 mm
♦ Focal length 710-800 mm ... 91 mm
♦ Focal length 810-950 mm ... 88 mm
♦ Focal length from 1000 mm ... 87 mm
I'm at 700mm, so it should allegedly be 96mm. I'm at approx 95mm not counting the filters - do they add or subtract to this figure?

Filters add to what you need to match, if that makes sense... I think the rule of thumb is 1/3 of the filter thickness.

I had about 1.5 hours before the clouds came back. Unfortunately most of that time was spent tweaking the setup for the new gear. I spent a stupid amount of time on the guide camera thinking I had to have it out much further than it needs to be.
I had just about sorted out most of it when the clouds stopped it all.
I think the spacing is just about right. I need to get a good shot in focus to check things properly.

How long did your camera take to come through from ordering, may I ask?
I might place an order for the MC version next week.
And did you order directly from ZWO, and if so, did you have to pay import fees?

I think it was about 3 weeks from order to receiving. It was faster than I expected. I think the MC version won't be as hard to get as the MM version since it's been around longer.
I went through Bintel to purchase, because at the time, they had a sale and the price was quite good. I have never been "lucky" enough to avoid the import fees, so I always compare with that in mind.

I ordered mine on the weekend via Sidereal Trading. Hopefully I am in early enough to snag one out of the next batch to Aus.

Finally getting some image time tonight. My spacing is not completely right and it looks like I've got a bit of tilt on the left side. That's going to be fun to fix....
Since the moon is up, I'm doing some Ha. Trying 10min images, gain 0, offset 20.
Edit: Not sure how long this link will stay around, but here's a jpeg auto stretched by Voyager of one of the subs: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...6-sample1.jpeg

Yes, I think there's some spacing/tilt problems to fix...

My main processing computer is taking a rest while I wait for a replacement cpu cooler - the timing is a bit annoying...
I managed a couple of nights imaging this week, and have taken a number of darks. I'm operating at Gain 0, Offset 20, -10C cooled. So far the images have been NB at 10 min exposure.
I have noticed horizontal banding in the darks, but haven't had a chance to make a master to see if it sorts itself out. I guess I'll try making some darks at Gain 100 to see if the banding goes away.

I got 22 x 10 min Ha, 23 x 10 min SII and 20 x 10 min OIII for NGC3576. All Gain 0, Offset 20, at -10C. 36mm Baader 7nm filters.
A quick'n'dirty process in PI using WBPP and some basic tweaks:
That's at 20 percent of the cropped image (the popup, not this thumbnail). I had to crop because the Ha was done on a different night to the OIII and SII and had different rotation because of my spacing tweaks to the scope.

It seems the darks combined ok to a master, and the flats also appeared to be ok.
I think that's not too bad for a first "image" from the ASI2600MM.

Very nice. I have followed up recently, I can hopefully expect to see my camera around mid month, with the OAG and my new ASI290MM mini in the next few days, I already have the filter wheel and most of my filters so I can get that set up while it is bolted to the ASI2600MC. In theory if I get everything fettled there it should just transfer straight over, but I bet it does not quite.

Indeed, not a bad result. I'm having a play with the image this morning to see what more I can get out of it. After all, looks like no sky time for a while longer.
EDIT: Reprocess is here: http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...d.php?t=190390
