Hi everybody,
I am getting a strange Double image all of a sudden through my 10 inch dob, EOS 700d and generic 1.25x Barlow/t-adapter. It was working fine before, no idea why its doing this.
If you use an eyepiece is there anything odd? I've seen a newt o exactly this once, but it was because the secondary had just been cleaned and replaced with the aluminium side in. If it's only through the camera, does the camera work normally off the scope?
Cheers,
Andrew.
Could it be the mirror flipping up? Are the adapters all nice and snug?
Is there a way of locking up the mirror before taking the shot?
Cheers,
Andrew.
So if your exposures are going to be more than a few seconds, fire the shutter with a hat (or suitable sized object) in front of your scope. Then take the hat away for the exposure.
