New Member need info Astrophotography

Just wanted to say hello.

Im from Melbourne and have just got into Astrophotography Landscapes. I wanted to start with this for now and then later buy a telescope I can attach my camera to. I was trying to find any other people in Melbourne who do Astrophotography Landscapes as well. If they were willing to meet up and swap notes or even going out on shoots. Would like to catch up, I work night shift so When its my night off and the time is right. I would like to get in my car and drive away from Melbourne and find some nice places.

This was my first attempt in Yea.

Any info or feedback welcome.
Thanks.
Ivan.

Hi Ivan

Phil Hart heads up the Astrophotography Section of ASV and has his own website at:
http://www.philhart.com/tag/night-sky-photography

I haven't had the opportunity to attend any of sessions yet but am planning to do so.

Paul

It was taken with a Canon 650d. Tokina 11-16mm lens. F2.8 iso 3200 30sec.

Phil Hart directed me to this forum. I Joined the ASV hoping to cover this subject. But they are more on planets. Which I will do the new astronomers group anyway. As I was saying, I was hoping to meet other members in Melb who would like to go out on different locations etc etc. Then would be ggod to put names to faces and even have mini meets.

Cheers.

Hey Ivan,

I am moving from Sydney to Melbourne soon, I won't have a car so if you can drive I'm more than up for going nightscaping!
