Omega Centauri 11 April

Next target for tonight was Omega Centauri.

2x 3 mins
iso 800
NR on in D70
Stacked registax 3 and processed in Photoshop
f6.3 focal reducer
Lx200 10"

Paul, lovely picture. You can almost reach out & touch it. Who said you can't get 3D with digital?
Ken, I think from memory there is about 2 cubic light years between stars. I read it somewhere, a while ago. We'd be in constant subdued moonglow. No good for us astronomers!

That's a lovely shot Paul.. could be framed a touch better but the detail in what you've got is stunning.

The core is not burnt out at all, what a great shot.

Seeker you should still post your shot in your own thread, don't be put off by my image. Part of the reason why my shots are good now is that I posted my images while I was learning and people gave advice that helped me improve.

Keep them coming Paul, any shots taken by any of you guys i enjoy looking at on here as they are a fuzz ball in my scope. It is nice to see what you all see with bigger stuff..
