Blue Mountains - Katoomba Airfield 18 August

All, looks like the weather gods have smiled, and it will be a beautiful weekend.

The latest forecast indicates a windy Saturday, with the westerly dropping somewhat in the night, should be fine for stargazing at the airstrip, but the seeing will be average.

I'm going to make my decision at late as possible. It takes me 2hrs to get there so about 4:30pm I should know. I'll put a post on this forum then.

I've decidied to pull the plug too.
Forecast looks like being too windy and some cloud. Not prepared to drive 2 hours there and 2 hours back for crappy weather.

I'm also no available for Sept or Oct either.

All, its down to 5 degrees and blowing a gale, with wind chill -5 degrees. Suggest cancel - it will be too unpleasant.
