Another Jewel Box From last night...

Cloudy here tonight so I could process my run 10x30s images - pretty happy to be getting images again. ISO800, focus, acquisistion, dark subtraction, stacking and processing in IP 2.75.

That is simply beautiful, mate.

You've got some nice soft diffraction spikes as well, like Tony's effort.

Hmm... the VC200L has an industrial strength spider on the front of it, it is strong and so holds collimation well so I am told (and is a good focus aid!), but Tony has a c11 and an ed80 I think he must be faking it.....!

And thanks for the kind comment - I like this image too, very happy considering that I was not taking a lot of care just giving the equipment a run after it had been in the workshop....

Tony said he is using fishing lines for the soft diffraction spikes.

30 pound fishing line to be exact....it's simple to apply.....the corrector plate on the C11 has perfectly positioned screws that makes attaching string or in my case fishing line simple to attach.
