Lovejoy fading 27/12/2011.

Hi,

I was lucky to have very clear skies to image lovejoy. It certainly haas faded and the nucleus seems less intense, almost tranperant.

The image is a single shot.

Canon 1100D - lens at 27mm - F/4 - ISO 800. - 5 minute exposure.

I manged to trace it out to 31 deg.

Cheers,

Justin.

What a corker of an image Justin, very well done and how good does the Coal Sack look as well as the comet.

Superb.

Great shot, and amazing to see how much it has faded already. Thanks for the view.

Fantastic! The longer/tracked exposure really brings out the rich detail and colour, doesn't it?

Hi,

Thanks for the comments.

I've had my Canon DSLR for 2 months now, and it's been a steep learning curve. But the fact eveyone is imaging the same object at the moment makes it a bit easier to see what can be achieved.

Thanks,

Justin.
