Lagoon and Trifid widefield.

After being up all night as there was no cloud or Moon. This is one result.
A widefield of the Lagoon and Trifid nebula.

Very nice colourful image. Nice composition too, and sharp stars - has it all

Interesting bit of nebulosity just down from M8.

These photos remind me of the large 120 format of film days. Would love to see what a setup like this would do to a good comet.

Works very well (300mm @ F2.8). I could pick up Tempel even with the 20D.

Here two sequential crops to show movement and a fullsize.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of the images I am now getting. It is not just the camera or optics, you have to know what to do with it. Learning is the best bit. Getting better with what you have got until you are limited by your equipment is the way to go. Then buy the next shiny toy.

I have put a crop (see below) of the 73mb tiff or 8mb jpg at full resolution to show how good this image is. All you need is to get the many variables behaving at once. A mixture of luck and good management.
