One of 60,000

One of over 60,000 in the species of weevil, this little guy just appeared on my person yesterday! I took him outside, set him on a leaf, had a little chat with him about eye-contact and poses, then watched as he opened his wings and flew off into the wide blue freedom of the sky.

Baz.

Wow Baz,

that pic is just way beyond awesome !!!

Mind if I ask, what lens did you use Baz please? I'd really like to get a decent macro lens, - any suggestions on one that wouldn't break the bank?

Cheers

Whoops,

from your spidery post, I'm guessing it's your Canon 100mm f/2.8L IS USM

Thanks Paul! Yep, you are correct, it is the 100mm. Depending on how your income sees $1000, will determine whether it breaks the bank or not.

To me, it is a bank-breaker, I've been saving up for months for a 100-400L and still nowhere near it yet.

In my book, good glass is worth paying for!

Baz.
