solar disk 11 March 2011

Lots of activity on the disk today. Trialling a new processing technique too. Trying to give the impression of the corona in front of the disk and we are looking into it. Like looking through the solar atmosphere.

Nice shot Paul.Is the colour you add similar to what you see through your scope? The reason I ask is that through my Daystar scope my view is quite red which is what I try to approximate if I add colour.Clouded out here in Northern NSW today.

Derek my scope is the same but I am trying to show our sun as an orangy red colour. Seems more natural to me.
