This is a combination of 50 minutes of each LRGB in 10 minute subs. I actually captured another set of frames like this after a meridian flip but have no idea what went wrong with them. When processed up they give what appears to be a huge greenish halo around the Rose.
I recall Paul Haese posting a similar result on an image he did of lagoon nebula some time back. I ended up only using the images I captured before the flip which have given a hlaf way decent image.
Hi Doug, nice shot, I noticed a couple of satellites running through you captures, but noticed a blue line running through on the same path as the satellites. Do you know what this might be?
Nice field of view, the sat trail looks like a stem for the "rose". The green tinge is interesting but i am sure more reproing will sort that out. Well done
Nice shot Doug, good colour and detail in the nebula. Maybe need to tweak the colour balance slightly though as some stars have a greenish tinge on my monitor.
Slightly overprocessed but good colour IMO Doug. On my monitor there appears to be a greenish gradient. I don't know if you have used HLVG but I've found it a good tool for getting rid of unwanted green. http://blog.deepskycolors.com/archiv...sta-green.html Cheers Steve
Good get Doug.... and man, I'm hearing you loud and clear.
Gotta hate it when things look great one minute then they turn to Sh%te the next.
Still well salvaged and at least you have something to show for your efforts.
Probably your focus looks a bit soft..
But knowing the run of bad weather, was no doubt the night.
