Ic5070 & ngc7000
...otherwise known as the Pelican and North American Nebula of course.
I am happily reshooting some targets I imaged when I first arrived in the US, as the FSQ/Clement/16803 combination is consistently producing a level of fine focus/flat field I have not achieved to date. While I have been away from home with work for 3 weeks, I got most of this data before I departed, and the Nebraska Autumn is, so far, yielding a good number of imaging nights.
The difference here of course is that I have the whole scene in one frame and the 23 hours of NB data arranged in the SHO palette has come up quite nice methinks.
Anyway, here is the link to the half-sized version (2.5Mb)

and for the full size look (8.5Mb) go here.

thanks for looking, and comments welcome as always.
cheers
Martin

Martin,
My goodness. That is the finest image of that region I've ever seen.
Nothing else to say other than: sublime.
WOW!

That's a nice bit of imaging, has the impression of illumination from above , very 3d as a result.

Ah yes, the Eta Carina nebula of the North
Nah, excellent example Martin, if ya gunna image a common target like this, may as well be a faultless top example lovely colours.
Any trimming or is this 100% full FOV?

Thanks very much for the comments ladies and gents.
Hi Mike - the resultant image size here is 4042 x 4049 from 4096 x 4096 frame size - the cropping was done purely to crop out alignment areas (I use a healthy dither).
cheers
