I'm no animal behaviouralist, but I think that means the dog owns the telescope now.

You might have problem selling that one now.

I can image all the prospective (iis) purchasers turning up and sniffing the scope before even looking thru it.

My cat used to use my wooden telescope tripod as a scratching post! Had to lock it away from him. Now he uses the wall. I give up.
