Jupiter 10th May 10

HI all, this is my first attempt at Jupiter for many months, the conditions looked very good, but the result IMO is below par; perhaps due to my planetary processing being a tad out of touch.

DMK and 2x barlow, although I think its a 3x, because it produces a larger image than my 2.5x barlow.

Lester, good to see some images from you... in this case you might want to take a second look at your wavelets settings, the noise has been enhanced but the planet detail has remained blurry, maybe a different choice of sliders could improve it?

cheers, Bird

An odd one Lester?
Looks like good detail through a fog.

Can't see your photos because..

When you send your photos to your photobucket page the site gets blocked by my administrator. So I never see your stuff! Uploading to the Ice In Space server would allow me to see them.

Thanks Anthony, Clayton and Dave for your comments and tips, I appreciate them. Anthony I will try some of the other wavelett sliders, have just been using 2,3 and 4 for all my planetary stuff, so should experiment.

Dave, will keep that in mind.

All the best.
