IC 4628 in Scorpius in HA

Here is IC 4628 in HDR HA. Moon at about 80%. The Dark Tower is very visible near center top.

Details
Canon 5DH, Canon 300mm F2.8 at f/3.5. Astronomik 13nm HA filter.
Exposures 20x(120s, 240s) at 1600 ISO, fridge at -5.0C.

I used HDR so the bright stars don't saturate. When adding HA and O3 to colour data this is important so stars do not get their colour affected.

Medium B&W image 2MB. FOV 7.0x4.6 degrees.

Medium inverted B&W image 4MB. FOV 7.0x4.6 degrees.

I think I have finally got my 300mm system tweaked to the stage where I can get on with imaging rather than engineering.

Doing some great work with this lens now. You should try some OIII and do a HaHaOIIIOIII blend. Brings the most beautiful bicolor highlights in those nebs. Shouldn't be a problem to match stars with registar
