Murrumbidgee Take 2

Not happy with this morning's shoot. I had trouble with lighting, composition AND focus.

These are the only ones I thought salvaging and even then, it's a token.

I think I will lose these images to the ether and have another crack another day.

Oooh, am jealous of you guys heading out taking pics, can I tag along??
Your expectations are increasing Baz, those pics are lovely, esp no 3. Colours and composition no 1 are great .... no 2 is also good, tho the Sun is a little offputting ..... yikes, is that a work?
Keep up the great work!!!
My aim for 2010 is to do some HDR stuff

Happy New Year

Baz,

Number 2 came out beautiful. I can see the motif you were going for and you've almost pulled it off. Perhaps next time close the aperture down a bit more so all the reeds are in focus. Take two exposures; one correctly exposed for the reeds/middle foreground, and, then take a short enough exposure so that detail in the sky is present. We will then go about layering them together into a seamless image.

P.S. Liz, keep away from HDR! It destroys your image data and produces fake images. But, that's just my AUD$0.02

Regards,
Humayun
