Southbank fireworks, 18Dec09

Hi all,

Here are a few images of the Christmas fireworks at Southbank in Brisbane last Friday evening. Unfortunately I mis-judged how high they would be, so my vantage point on the Kurilpa Bridge was a bit too far away. These are all cropped a bit to make the fireworks larger. Thanks for looking.

Cheers,
Stephen

Great shots there Stephen – they capture the atmosphere very well. The blue big wheel really adds to the composition.

Was it a big crush getting there and finding a suitable vantage point on the bridge?

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks Warren, Liz and Dennis.

Dennis - there were only 5 other people on the whole bridge! Even Southbank itself was relatively quiet. I think these pre-Christmas fireworks are a great opportunity for photos because most people don't know it's on. Certainly better than New Year's Eve!

Cheers,
Stephen
