Should Ice and Mojo & mods be able to go in the xmas comp?

Everyone that has a go and gets one question right, gets to go in the xmas comp.

I also believe that even though Ice and Mojo and mods??? may be marking the comp, then for their efforts they should be allowed to get at least 1 entry.

If the mods are not marking, then as last time, they get to enter like anyone else.

So should Mike & Mojo & anyone else that wrote the questions get at least one entry for all the time and effort they put into the comp?

Good point Davo,

Moderators should be allowed to enter if they are not involved in the question making! Mike & Mojo (or whoever is writing the questions) should get one entry each.

Fairs fair, if they are not drawing the winner out.

Neither Paul (1ponders) or myself are involved in compiling the questions or drawing the winners.

If they were to enter, its fine with me, as long as the draw was done by an independant person.. (which may be difficult to do)

that way they can't get blamed for bias!

Can't see why not. If it's drawn @ Bintel, then get Bintel Mike or Don to draw the winners out. Or, grab a guy off the street to do it. np here. They deserve a chance. L.
ps. I'm sure Mike would love the Nagler......

Paul (1ponders) and Geoff (starkler) are already eligible to enter, they've had nothing to do with organising the competition.

Mike @ Bintel did the draw last time, and he'll be doing it this time as well.

While it's a nice sentiment to allow mojo and I to enter, it's really not necessary. It's my pleasure to be able to provide the means for this competition to take place, to be able to give something back to the loyal IceInSpace community and to be able to integrate the sponsors with their market.

It just wouldn't look right if I did win, would it? Thanks anyway Dave.

I agree with Mike. He should not be allowed because it could be very damaging to the image of the site and for the sponsors if he did win. If a sponsor donates something valuable (Nagler/scope), and then the owner of the website wins the prize, that would look very suspicious to an outsider/newcomer to the site.

Thanks for the thought David. But it's ok, we'll survive. It'd be unethical for us to enter. Paul & Geoff are eligible because they know as much (or as little?) about the competitions as anybody else.
