At sub pixel imaging..you are bound to get artifacts during the processing.
That is what your seeing..

Bert, that is a great image. How much processing did you have to do to extract that

I was fortunate to get 35 good frames out of 2300. Hand selected/Registaxed and some unsharp masking in Photoshop CS2 with noise reduction.
