Aluminium Transformed (Transparent Aluminium)

Shades of Star Trek here. Aluminium has been transformed into a new matter state by bombarding it with x-rays. Transparent Aluminium.

Hi Rob,

I was just about to say the same thing about Star Trek, my Geek Alarm went off when I saw "Transparent Aluminium" (pronounced Alooomeenum" and thought of Scotty and Bones dropping the hint in the movie, although I can't remember which one it was......

Very interesting though.

Cheers

Chris

Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home

Very interesting article, but far from being something useful in everyday life. Hope it does help them in the ways they believe it will.

thanks for the link if it wasn't for the fact I am in isolation right now I would go to the local video store and buy the boxed set of Trek movies.
