NGC5139 size comparison from Sydney

Well I got things set up early the other night in my suburban sydney backyard and after a while decided to give Omega Centauri a go with the 40D on the back of the 100ed. South from my place looks back towards the sky glow but I grabed about 40 x 30sec shots & darks and was stoked with my first shot of this lovely object.
What blew me away was the sheer size of it once some post processing was done and brought out so many more stars, so I decided to quickly throw it next to a moon shot taken another time. I'm still trying to see if I can get any colours from the stars like others have but thought I'd throw this up here as it blows my mind.

Hope you like the comparison.

Brett,

Never get sick of Omega Centauri. He is the King, after all.

Well done.

Regards,
Humayun
