Dark sky sites just to north of Brisbane?

Does anyone know of a public access dark sky site within a half-hour drive of Brisbane's northern suburbs (Bridgeman Downs, Aspley, Carseldine, Bald Hills, etc) ? Don't give away any secrets; but if you don't mind sharing, it'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance....

Clubs - Astronomical Society

Hi,
have you had a look at joining an Astronomical Society? I recently joined South East Queensland Astronomical Society (www.seqas.org). If you have a look at the events section there is a dark sky event on the 20 June at the Stanley River Environmental Education Centre.

Most of the time I am just using the front driveway to look at the sky so I am really keen to go to the event. It sounds like I am just around the corner from you - PM me if you would to catch-up sometime. I was also looking at trying out the relativly new park area on Hamilton Road near to environmental bridge.

Cheers

Greg
