Vintage and Steam Rally

Here's a couple of photos form the Vintage and Steam rally in Oberon yesterday. I didn't get to take as many photos as I would've liked... too busy...

There may be more to follow... got to run. Got the second day on today and have to probably drive the tanks home afterwards.

The first image was my first play with CZM for stacking multiple focal length shots for increased depth of field. It is made from just 2 shots (handheld) - one focussed on the end of the barrel and one focused on the tank turret. Matilda Tank. If you look closely along the barrel you can see the middle is not sharp, but I'm very impressed with how it handled the 2 hand held shots!

Nice one Al.
I would have loved to come down to the display.
I have a small steam engine model about 1foot long, not disimilar to photo 3.

Spent a couple of most enjoyable hours at the Oberon Fair on Saturday, said g'day to Al but he was very busy (feeding his face). The vintage and steam vehicle rally was not the only thing there. Plenty of animals, stalls, showbags and a funfair. Very well organized and something for everyone.

Few happy snaps, still trying to come to terms - colour wise - using a modified 350D.

1 Pontiac
2 Hudson - 1919
3 E-Type - one of the best ever
4 Will you put those lights out, or will I???

Great shots Al and Chris, looks like a really fun event.
Wish I had the time to visit.

Al, that first shot of the stacked image using CZM turned out beautifully.
It's also fantastic to use on macro shots.

Well done guys.

There are some advantages to driving a cent.

The local copper wanted to breath test us during the parade... he kept offering the breathalyzer to me (i was commander) but I kept telling me the driver is down the front. He kept saying he couldn't see him... I suspect he didn't want to stand tight in front... All in good fun!

Thanks guys. Good to see you there, Chris. I also caught up with Bert... he happened to be there at the right time to get a ride in the cent too!

Al,

Lovin' that first shot, especially. Wonderful textures and subtle hues throughout. Great stuff!

Regards,
Humayun
