I agree Frank the challenge was always good value to compare images and techniques.

I learnt a lot from them

hmm wasn't it Eric that drove the comeback?

Just needs someone active to kick it off.

Jen,
A while back we used to have a "monthly challenge" where someone would say "lets image nebula X" and everybody would have a go and show off their results.
It was good fun to see the different results from different equipment and processing

Hi Jen, it was a challenge amongst the imagers that was running a while back.

Essentially someone would pick a DSO to image and we would all post our images on the thread. It wasn't a competition as such but it was a great way to learn new techniques, exposure times etc.

At the end of the month the person who started the thread would nominate one of the imagers to select a new DSO to image for the next month.

Cheers

Whoops Frank beat me to the reply LOL

Sounds like a great idea. I'd love for a monthly challenge to start again. Would be a great way to share and improve your imaging techniques with others.

Should get it organised.

Unless someone else has something planned already I'd be happy to get the ball rolling next month.
