Heat turned up at Port Lincoln

Hi all,

The temperature reached 47 today and to make thing worse there is a major fire burning on the west side of the city. The wind is expected to change from the north to sw at any moment bringing the fire back to south side of Lincoln. Houses on that side have been told to avacuate or stay and fight.

So far 2 houses and many sheds plus a boarding kennel has been destroyed. No life lost, although there has been a vehicle accident.

Hi Lester,

Hope you keep safe and that the fire is contained.
It seems that fires, this time of year are becoming a fact of life, hope this one spares the lives and properties of your community.

Best wishes
Trevor

Thanks Trevor, so far a Tuna factory and part of another and a transport depot has been lost.

Got some more shots of Elvis as it flew past our house. Don't know why it didn't suck up sea water, instead it flies to the airport.

The cool change has arrived and the smoke has gone with just a slight haze remaining.

A job well done by many.
