Milky Way Ultrawide Poster (Full-size)

The Thumbnail version attached is a snippet taken from the top left corner.

To see the rest of it you'll have to click the link.

For the full sized-version click here <----- It's a whopper (2.9 MB), but I think it's worth a look.

4 frames. Sixty-six degrees of sky. This is an adhoc mix of exposures (some 4 mins at ISO800 and others 2mins at ISO1600). The left and right sides of the pic were shot in 2007. The middle (Norma) was shot this week. There's another 2 frames I'm processing now (M17,M16, Lagoon, etc..) and I'll add these to make a new Mega Widefield poster on the weekend probably (that's if they line up in a straight line that is [doh!]).

Canon 350D; 50mm EF II f1.8@f6.3; Meade LXD-75. No filters.

Hooley-Dooley Bill. Nice work. Such a large field. Impressive. Perhaps the frame brightness/contrast could be adjusted between ARA and Norma, but other than that stunning work mate. Well done.

WOW Bill. One massive expance of sky. Beautfully pieced together without major changes in balance.

Very well done. I love it.

Woo Hoo, what a ripper Bill.

I applaud the patience and effort that you must have put into this beauty.

A very fine effort indeed.
