Synscan Version

My EQ6 synscan upgrade was completed today and I noticed the synscan handcontroller has come with firmware version 3.10. I've seen a few threads that suggest there are bugs in the latest version (3.21) and also that the new firmware loader V2.8 might be a bit dodgy.

Sooooo - what versions of the synscan firmware and firmware loader are people having success with?

I'm using 3.10 at the moment, for 2 reasons, everything works and why mess with it, and 2 haven't been bothered.

yeah i was hoping someone could tell me the same thing, my HEQ5Pro will be on the way shortly and have heard of some 'bugs' within 3.21?

anyone else with issues?

im using the latest version on my HEQ5 but i don't really use the hand controller any more, the mount is controlled via EQMOD

p.s. I don't have the latest firmware loader but I upgraded to v3.21 with no problems Peter.

That's just what I need to get my eq6 pro and pc working together. I tried setting up a link to starry night pro today and there was no appropriate driver in the ASCOM list. I'm off out into the observatory right now ( 12.24am ) to install it. I like the look of the EQMOSAIC as well .... good stuff .... very handy with my ST2000XCM CCD !
