On offer is my Baader Hyperion 17mm eyepiece in excellent/near new condition, not much use, eight months old. 1.25in/2in modular design, 68 degrees apparent field of view, 20mm eye relief, very large eye lens, comfortable to use over long viewing sessions, well corrected for fast scopes.
Has the special Baader Phantom coatings, more advanced coatings than the Orion Stratus equivalent meaning better light transmission with the Hyperion. Has a photo thread under the rubber eye cup for the attachment of a T-ring (with the help of an adapter) for SLR eyepiece projection photography. This was my main reason for purchasing this EP, my dob will not come to focus via the prime focus method. I now use my ED 80 for lunar photography. The Hyperion eyepiece range has received favorable reviews on the world wide astro forums, especially the 17mm, go check it out.
Comes complete with original box, leatherette pouch and caps (2 x eye lens caps and 1 x field lens cap). One eye lens cap is for when the rubber eye cup is turned down and one for when the eye cup is flipped up, all in excellent condition.
Asking price is only $155 plus the postage cost, or local pickup is OK. Inspection is also welcome. I recommend registered post if postage is required. Retail price for this EP is around $230.
