I am currently depressed about the whether, it must be all the negetive ions. I've been reading the forums, just not posting. We do need the rain though I guess, but the clouds don't have to stick around! At this rate you should make the July photo challenge clouds, that way everyone can enter! I went outside last week, and through the break in the clouds the stars looked awesome, so clear. Is winter or summer normally better for seeing conditions?

I am also currently trying to stay away from the equipment forums while I pay my credit card off (and then car rego).. then its back to wanting everything ever posted! I figure if I try not to read them, I won't get any ideas. I reaally want a wide field low power EP though!

Geez Mike, we don't want you to feel let down, so here's a totally unncecessary, forum padding post done in such a way as to minimnise RSI by keeping my post as scroll friendly as possible...and my excuse is I've been at work, been to the dentist (ouch), haven't played games and I'm not depressed about the weather, but I do wish I was on annual leave or had a job that allowed better holidays.. I feel a lot better now that's off my chest, but I think I'm getting a cold....

Just got back from the Great Aussie Bush Camp this arvo. The weather was great the entire time and I took my scope with me. Last night I had a 15m line up of school kids wanting a butchers at Jupiter and the four moons that could be seen. That got them excited, but it was the moon through the 25mm ep that really blew them away ( and nearly blinded them as I dont like to use a filter)as the moon nearly fills the entire FOV and so bright, there was a lot of WOW's and jaw dropping. And a few (not many) enjoyed splitting stars. I'm now the cool dude at school until they learn HTML in computing

Mike,
Trying to get over this rotton Flu and felt lousy so I just rested yesterday so I would be able to coach today.

Simon,
Winter is the best seeing time of the year.
The skies are crisp and clearer, except for smoke from woodburning heaters! Summer is full of heat haze and dust.

Louie,
I have to use HTML on the websites I maintain as that is the only method they work on!!
