MPAS on Friday and Saturday

Hi all,

Just wondering if the MPAS Public Viewing night is on this Friday?
Also, is anyone heading down there on Saturday night?

I would like to have a look through some telescopes and discuss their pros and cons before I spend my money. Also, I thought I would try out some photography from a dark site.

thanks,
DJDD

We have!

so, the public night is this Friday night. I should book.

i wonder how busy it gets- is it likely I would have time to chat about the telescopes (pros, cons) and pose other equipment questions or is it pretty hectic with everyone being badgered by the public?

I might thwn only need one night, although I suspect taking photos with my camera may be a bit difficult on a public viewing night.

cheers,
DJDD

I was there last Friday night & I reckon it was a good turnout.
Must have been a good 25 to 30 visitors.

I will be there tomorrow night. Am happy to discuss as much as you like.
I'm sure others will as well.
You know how men like to discuss the quality of their equipment...........

All,
Have a look at this web page for all information on the public nights.
http://www.mpas.asn.au/PVN.htm

Sometimes well over 100 people attend.

The web page above will have all the details. If it's not so busy you can get to look through a scope more often. All MPAS members and IIS members who are there will help.

So this 7th of Sep. Friday night is a public night. Weather looks promising.

Some members will be there Saturday night if it's clear also. This night will give you more insight to telescopes etc. Public nights can be hectic.

I can not be there Friday as it's my sons cricket sign up night.

Will be there Saturday if weather is fine.
