Western Suberbs viewing!!

Hi All its been awhile since my last thread(job, summer, life ect)! I was wondering if there was anybody, groups or individuals who can give me some advice on good dark sites in the Western suburbs...I live near Ipswich (it may sound a bit stupid as I know there must be many) but finding a really good spot from someone who has prior experience would be a great advantage.I dont really mind where as I am mobile and all my viewing is with a pair of 15x70 binoculars(I am very much a beginner but keen and have a little knowledge).
Thanks in advance look forward to hearing any advice!!

The AAQ meet for meetings at Toowong, lunar observing at Jindalee, and deep sky at various sites west of Brisbane. Visitors are always welcome, and we are all learning together from our more experienced members. PM me for more details, or try the AAQ website.

BM, "PM" = Private Message. At the top right of the screen. Click "Private Messages" and follow instructions (select "Send New Message" on the left) to send a message to DaveO.

Sorry for the jargon Blu - as Erick said its a Private Message. Used to avoid clustering up threads with details not relevant or of interest to the group as a whole.

To help matters along, our next deep sky night is Saturday 14th. I will PM you to more details.
