Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo

This is only the second time in 16 years I've seen a black Cockatoo around my area. I didn't have time to change lenses on my Nikon D810 but did grab my handy Canon compact, not as good but handy in a pinch.
They are a noisy bird, next time I'll know what they are when I hear them out back and I'll run out with the DSLR.

Nice one Leo, we have heaps of those here as they come back each year for The Sheoak Trees of which we have heaps as well.
Not bad for a little point and shoot.

Thank you gentlemen!
Yes, the Canon compact with 20Mp sensor is a very nice little unit, my biggest issue is I use the veivfinder pushed against my eye to stabilise a camera and I'm not so good with arms length screens on compacts and phones, I have steady hands but I shake them every time.
Then there's the menu I can't read with crappy sight whereas every button I need on my Nikon DSLR fall to hand with years of familiarity with Nikon SLR's dating back to the late 80s.
My son however can make the little Canon compact sing, he's remarkable with it.

The quality of the sensor on the Canon however allowed me to crop the image since it was in a neighbours tree across 2 back yards.
