Kulnura star night

Can anybody give me an idea if the Kulnura night is on the Saturday after next (16th June, 2007).

I thoroughly enjoyed last month and would be interested in attending again.

Arthur.

PS. I will make sure that I have the electrical extension cord this time.

Hi Arthur

The new moon is on the 15th, so I expect there'd be some observing on the 16th.

Watch this space.

Nice buy Jacob! I must say that I was very impressed with the views through Richards 16" LB at the last Kilnura meetup, fantastic scope!

Sounds like another great viewing night ahead for you guys. Looks like I'm going to miss this one as well. Remember to bring your winter woolies and watch out for big black dogs sniffing you in private parts he he .

Hey guys
I just wanted to announce my commitment to be there this time! But as a first timer, i have no idea how to get there. Are there ppl going from sydney? If possible i want to meet up with some1 so i can follow them and hopefully learn the way.
I live close to Rockdale near the airport. Anyone close to me?

Cheers.

weather permitting

I had a look at the weatrher channel last night and the prediction for the next 2-3 weeks doesn't look good for scoping but is excellent forthe drought.

I will remain totally optomistic that I can get out and investigate the universe

Is this going ahead on the 16th or has the floods made it impractical/impossible ?

the weathers not looking great

Has another look at the weather channel this morning and the prediction for rain over the w'end hasn't changed one bit, not even a bitty bitty bit.

I don't know what has happened up the mountain as far as damage from the downfalls but at this stage i think the computer with starry nights or stellarium with a heater and a nice wine is sounding more redalistic.

It's not a good idea to visit Kulnura this weekend.
We're still trying to get things back to normal up here and there's road closures, grounds are soggy and there's still a danger of trees falling.

The power up here has just gone out again and I think it's best if we don't push our luck with the proprietors at Paintball.
