M16 The Eagle Nebula

Hi guys,

Taken last week Tues (windy) and Wednesday nights before it disappeared behind a monumental tree in the backyard.

EdgeHD 9.25 & 0.7x focal reducer, astrodon 3nm filters, 2.7hrs of Ha, Oiii, Sii, R, G, B (for stars) data and about 2 days playing around processing.

Hope y'all like them.

Another fine example of good processing Andrew.

Lots of depth detail and contrast.

To get RGB stars right is difficult and you have done quite a good job there.

Well done

Thanks Peter, i did have to try a few approaches with the stars, and they were a bit on the fluffy side due to being captured with the sct, but made a compromise in the end. Trying not to clip them but still have them appear nice & bright is the balancing act.. some just look better clipped in the end i think.

Nice work Andrew.

A tad noisy but you've created a lovely colour Palette.
Love the framing too!

Much appreciated Andy, thankyou.

Definately guilty of a few things.. might have worked with less data than i probably should have & may have leaned on high pass filter a little too much. Guilty. lol. I blame my impatience & the Melbourne wintery skies.

On the lookout for your next release.
