Centaurus A

Hi all, heres one of Centaurus A from last Friday.
I also been experimenting with PixInsight LE, yet another learning curve.
Also had to contend with neighbours verandah light and a near full moon.

The details are:
60 images @ 21.2 seconds each
20 images each of RGB @ 21.2 seconds each
Images taken using Envisage and processed with AuostarIP, MaximDL and final adjustment with PixInsightLE.
Tracking was done through Star Atlas Pro in Alt/Az mode

Cheers

Fantastic work.
The illuminated dust lanes are something special.

Jees Ric, the only things you didnt use to process your image was a washboard and kitchen sink !. Or did you run out of space..

Still, you did well to get form and detail with such small exposures.

Thank for the comments everyone.
Gama, it looks a bit that way doesn't it .
Normally it's align and combine with IP and finish in Maxim but I have downloaded PixInsight LE so I was playing a bit as well with that.

Still saving for a wedge so I'm still restricted to sub 30 second subs.

Cheers

Try finishing in Photoshop Ric. You have more control and options to enhance the image over Maxim.
The image will really come out like magic.

Hi Gama, I would love a copy of Photoshop but the cost involved would mean a choice between th software or the wedge.
At the moment the wedge is the higher priority.
