First attempt at shooting anything - NGC2070

So.. This was my first attempt at shooting anything after learning how to polar align my scope.
The Tarantula Nebula (NGC 2070)!

10 subs, 120 secs @ iso 800 un-guided.
* HEQ5
* Skywatcher ED80 black diamond 600mm focal length
* Un-modded canon EOS 60D

I know it's not anything special, and I should have spent more time capturing it, and learning processing, but damn am I stoked and excited with what I came up with. Hot pixels and light pollution make it look ugly, but like I said, it is my first ever image and i'm super stoked!

I would have done a lot more on it but the moon and clouds decided to ruin my fun.

Any feedback would be great!

I also captured a bit of the Homunculus Nebula!
Although my focus was way off on this one too, I'm super impressed with myself again!

I hopefully receive my Bahtinov mask this week which should eliminate any focus issues, and i'll try and get my auto-guiding up and running, i'm so excited to get back into my LP backyard and have some fun!

Good first efforts; its not so much your focus that is off, but your stars
being elongated. Judging by the amount of elongation I would say that about 90 secs would have given round stars. When posting images it is
customary to give equipment details, such as scope focal length etc etc.,
it helps members to give constructive criticism[assuming that you welcome it].

Yeah i know, it'll hopefully be fixed when i teach myself how to use my autoguiding gear

Your alignment is not bad, Round stars at 90 secs is quite good for 600mm f/l
Those images would benefit from a bit darker background.

Really nice starting images!
Your NGC 2070 not be showing much nebulosity but there is only so much you can do when fighting light pollution
