Upgrading the International Space Station with Cook Strait as a backdrop.

Do you think they enhance/blowup the background shot glen ?
I see some shots on the web that don't show anywhere near the ground detail of these .. and yet others that show much more

amazeing view all the same

Wow - what a stunning photo. Thanks for the link Glen.

I suspect the photo was taken using a longish telephoto lens as the perspective appears quite compressed looking at the astronauts and ISS structure. A longish telephoto would “pull in” the background making it appear closer.
