You might be best to call them and discuss that one

I would like to see a special on the new Celestron CGX mount - like they are running in the US at the moment. Buy for $2199 USD. Even the old DX is a bargain discounted to $1499.

Am I the only one with Security Certificate issues on the new BINTEL website?

Anyone else having security certificate issues with the NEW Bintel website?

Every time I try to go to www.binocularandtelescope.com.au I get the following message in chrome on Windows 10.

Looks like they're using the security certificate from the old 'bintel' site, not 'binocularandtelescope'.

For me it just goes through to bintel.com.au - none of that stuff you're getting!

It works in Firefox, just not in Chrome or MS Edge. You can see from the message that it's just trying to redirect to Bintel, but still, it's annoying. I wonder which one is the site we're 'supposed' to use?

Hi Markus,

I was getting a similar error a couple of months ago on various sites.

It turned out I had to change a setting in my anti-virus program(Kaspersky).

I had to tick the box on't scan encrypted connections" haven't had a problem since.

Aagh. The Bintel site seems to have gone down. Just when I was about to place my order!

And they do not seem to have the 26mm Nagler on site - the only eyepiece I am interested in at the moment.

According to something I read on CN the 26mm Nagler was discontinued a few months ago.

Just looked on the Televue website and no 26mm Nagler is listed so probably correct.

A quick hijack, but sort of related. Has anyone tried to email Bintel lately?

I've tried twice in the last 10 days and no reply, I'm wondering if the Contact feature is broken.
