Lagoon Wide Field

First time I've posted an Image on here. I really like my wide field images. This was taken with the Nikon D810A and WO Scope. 2 exposures stacked with a total exposure time of 15 minutes and no calibration frames. Processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop. Uploaded version is a very small file compared to the original.

I'm really not sure how to upload a decent sized image on here so forgive me for the size.

Beautiful! That's really showing off what the 810A can do too. Very nice!
You can only load 200K on to here, but get yourself an astrobin site and link it - like this:
cheers,
Andrew.
and I'm looking forward to seeing what else you do with that camera!

Gee that looks impressive. Just post a link to wherever you have posted the larger image. I use Pbase but there are other hosting sites that are popular.

I wouldn't mind reading a review of the D810a if you feel inclined to write one (post it in the equipment forum).

Greg.

That's a pretty good result Steve. Look forward to seeing more of your wide-fields in future.
Re: Photo Size.
I've noticed that various programs give differing file sizes for jpg files. Even with no added compression.
All mine done in Corel Paintshop Pro reduced to 1280x960 are under 200K. If they are processed from jpg originals.
If I process RAW and save as jpg, then they can be anywhere from 700k to 9MB for the same file dimensions.

Looks great even at that tiny size, Steve. Colours are very good.
