Eta Carina 200mm

First serious image with a newly acquired 200mm Nikkor F4 manual lens.
Taken on a Nikon D7000 at The Springs Astrocamp (through ASSA) in the Southern Flinders Ranges.
Camera piggybacked on a scope on my NEQ6.
18 shots at 2 mins each, with the lens at F5.6 I think. ISO 2000.
No darks, flats or bias shots were subtracted either.

Really impressed with the lens.
Looking forward to doing more with this.

Better version

Nice image Bob!

Great colour through out, especially the stars.

Looks to be a good lens.

Cheers,

Justin.

Nice eta - and that lens is a cracker! Much less colour than the older 180mm I'm using. Nice to see such good results from Nikons...
Cheers,
Andrew.
