Smile Morning shots

Took these shots the other morning up at Kariong, the same morning as the Crescent Moon and Saturn shots.

The first 2 were taken with the 18-55 lens, handheld. Fill flash on. I didn't notice the ant on the flower (what is it?) in the second one until I processed it

The third one is the crescent moon just rising above the mountain over gosford. (this one was taken at the lookout on the way up Kariong Hill). 75-300mm lens on the tripod.

4 & 5 were with the 75-300 lens, handheld. While I was packing up I saw a young kookaburra sitting on the fence.

6 & 7 were with the 75-300 lens, handheld. Both shots are the composite of 2 images, one with the moon in focus, and one with the kooka in focus. I really like how they turned out.

Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

Great use of fill flash in the first two and nice blurred background.
Very interesting moon and kooka shots too Mike.

I remember seeing, in an astro mag, your first Kariong lookout shot and a writeup on the "New" IIS forum.
Very memorable.

Great shots Mike,
the Kooka looks so peaceful sitting there on the fence. No doubt he has an eye out for breakfast

cheers
