No more CFW-8 :(

I noticed on SBIG's website yesterday that they've stopped production of the CFW-8

While I might never have bought one, I always intended to, it was always close to the top of the list. But now I won't be able to, and the new CFW-9 isn't compatable with my ST7

I saw someone on AstroMart selling a second hand one for US$700, when SBIG was selling them for US$580 last I looked. I guess that rules out the second hand market too.

Oh well, chances are I would've never got around to buying one. I guess now the ST7 is destined to become a guide camera, with a new camera with new CFW being the imaging camera. When I win lotto

I thought it might be useful for others to know the CFW-8 had stopped production.

Roger.

Roger, maybe you could consider a wheel from www.trutek-uk.com instead? Not sure about compatibility tho... I'm quite happy with the one I got from them.

cheers, Bird
