threaded rod size required

I have no idea what size the threaded rod connection is between the tripod of the eq6 and the mount head. It is not 12mm or 10mm or even ½ inch, been down that path at the hardware shop. So if anyone knows what the thread is exactly that would be great???

Hi H0ughy

Have you tried 3/8 inch? That equates to around 9.5mm and is a "standard" size in most hardware stores. My camera tripod accepts either 1/4" or 3/8" fittings.

Also, M8 is another “standard” size and on the Imperial scale, lies between 1/4" and 3/8". (No jokes about M8 in Sag please).

Cheers

Dennis

From all reports it is a 12mm 1.75 pitch thread that is in the centre of the EQ6, M10 bolt for the Azimuth adjustment pilar.
